I grew up in Houston, Texas. My father went to the University of Houston Law School and set the pattern for my life. Growing up with a father who was an attorney, I developed an analytical mind and questioned everything. It was almost foreseen that I would also become an attorney.

About My Car Accident Legal Experience

I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1986 with a BA degree in Political Science. Afterward, I enrolled at the University of Arkansas School of Law. While attending law school, I was on the Dean’s Honor List each and every year and graduated in the top 10% of my class.

After Law School, I packed up all my suitcases and boarded a plane to Honolulu, Hawaii. After passing the bar exam, I walked around downtown Honolulu, passing out my resume.

I have been practicing personal injury law for more than 30 years. I have worked on all types of personal injury cases, from complicated truck accidents, car accidents, motorcycle, bicycle, pedestrian and wrongful death cases, as well as other personal injury cases with complicated insurance issues.

I used to represent the insurance companies. I also defended personal injury cases for State Farm, GEICO and Allstate. So, I am an attorney who has been on both sides! Not too many attorneys have been on the insurance side and now represent injured car accident victims. I have the experience and knowledge to properly deal with the insurance companies and insurance adjusters, as I used to be their attorney! My Experience With Insurance Companies

My very first job was working as a defense lawyer for various insurance companies: State Farm, GEICO and AIG, among others.

I would defend the insurance companies in lawsuits brought by those injured in car accidents, homeowner accidents, dog attacks, and all other types of traffic-related accidents. Since I worked closely with the insurance companies and knew the insurance adjusters by name, I learned how the insurance companies settled accident claims.
